Trafford Centre

So on Monday I went to heaven. OK, the Trafford Centre in Manchester. It was ah. may. ziiiiiiing!

Great to see a glimpse of trends yet to come, just be walking past shop windows such as Mango, All Saints and Lipsy and see all the browns, greens and pastel-y pinks. Lovely. Spring is definitely here!

In Selfridges I fell in love with a dress just TWO minutes after walking in.

So of course, at only £38 from Topshop @ Selfridges, it seemed a waste not to take it home. Bagged.

I was really looking forward to the Vivienne Westwood store, however I must admit to being extremely disappointed at how tiny it was!

Still, I found MY Vivi shoes. A few months ago, when she must have been feeling a bit ill or bumped her head, my mum told me that if I get As and A*s in my GCSEs, she’ll buy me some Vivi shoes!!

Well, that’s an offer a girl cannot refuse, so I’ve spent some time finding out exactly which shoes I want!

 

I mean just LOOK at them. They are just a small chunk of fashion bliss.

I can’t tell you all how much I really want to carry on writing and posting pictures now, post endless posts about LFW and the new inspiration walls I have created in my studio/bedroom.

But it’s half term, so I have to use my time wisely* by getting on with my Art coursework, Maths revision and tidying my wardrobe.

Sugar Teenpower

Just watched Gok’s Fashion Roadshow again. He is one of my idols. The tartan dress he created in Show 4 from a blanket was just amazing, and it looked so effective, very Vivienne Westwood.

I was very pleased actually because today was non-uniform day so I dressed in double florals with floral plimsols, as shown below. Very clashing florals, I admit. I was kind of pleased with my outfit anyway, but then to hear Gok talking about how clashing florals are going to be big again for S/S 2011, I was well chuffed!

As always, he inspired me to have yet another raid round my bedroom searching for just ONE more item that I’d almost forgotten about.

Then I saw Sugar magazine again and on the Editor’s letter the Sugar Teenpower 2011 issue was mentioned, when readers can take over the magazine for an issue, by applying for jobs they’d like to do.

This year I’m thinking of applying for Fashion Editor/Stylist, whichever is available. I’m making it my main focus from now onwards until my application is sent.

This is an opportunity, and I will be ready for it.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Major apologies from my end that I haven’t been posting still. School, sports and social life have gone manic so the blogging’s taking a back seat for a while. Sorry! ♥

My horoscope told me that today would be WAY better than I thought. So far it's been about what I thought, maybe a tad worse!
JM got me Guylian chocolates (yum) and a Me to You bear for Valentines Day. When he came to give it to me at lunch break he bought ALL his mates with him. Then everyone who was standing in that particular area formed a little crowd and was just STARING at me.
He goes "Abby, will you be my Valentine" and I just about died inside. Arrrrghhh. I didn't answer but then Louis, a lovely but very gobby year 11, started a chant of "KISS KISS KISS KISS" which I obviously cringed majorly at and actually wanted to just disintergrate right there and then.
Due to peer pressure, which doesn't normally work on me, I hugged him. Then shared all the chocolates. AWKWARD!!!

Now he wants an ANSWER? To what, I thought. Now his mate told my mate who told me that apparently that was his way of asking me out (for the SECOND time).

Eeeek. I feel really mean. x
